Radhika dipped her mop in the bucket as she began to mop the floor of the parlor. The other children didn't want to do chores since it reminded them of the bad old days. 'It's still no excuse to keep this place a mess' she thought as she continued to mop. Perhaps it was her habits of keeping things tidy and the fact she's been doing this since she was small is the reason she continued to keep the orphanage clean and even cooked for her comrades.
The split was something that really affected Radhika deeply. While she herself felt it wasn't necessary for them to be split especially since she knew that Edward and Lily were very close once upon a time, but she supposed that they didn't know each other as well as they thought. The one thing that affected her the most was Yuki being in the opposing group.
Like her, he was a foreigner bought and taken from his homeland to be a tool for this family. Though unlike herself who was bought to be a maid and companion to her master's daughter, he was bought to be a decoration which upset Radhika when he told her. 'These people believe because we are different we can be treated as if we weren't human' she thought angrily as she finished mopping the floors. As she put the mop away, she heard light footsteps entering the parlor.

The boy was nearly healed up, the cut on his chin having scabbed nicely. Whether it would scar or not, he did not yet known. It most likely would, since he'd scratched at it a few days ago, making the cut worse than it had been originally --but he was no doctor. His ebony hair stood up in every possible direction, as was usual, and his clothes had a hole here and there and some wrinkles. This was also quite usual. Yuki wasn't sure what brought him to wander into the parlor, but he wasn't goint to waste his brain's energy trying to figure it out. Lately he'd let his body move automatically, his mind off in another place entirely.
Eyes locked on the girl with the mop, and he stopped mid-step, his mind slipping back into his skull. She was the only regret he'd had over the split. They were kindred souls in a sense. Both foreign to this country, both adopted for a purpose other than to be loved and cared for. Yuki's head tilted as he saw her put the mop away. He was proud of her for cleaning and cooking for them, although he didn't understand her want for doing so.
"Radhika..."

Radhika couldn't believe that just as she was thinking of her friend, there he was in the flesh. A small smile appeared on her face as she slowly made her way over to him. Without caring if anyone saw, she gave her old friend a bit hug. "It's good to see you, Yuki" she said softly, looking up at his face, noting the scab there. "What happened here? Did someone hurt you?" she asked in a concern voice. Her bronzed fingers reaching up to touch the injury.
"It's been so long since I've seen you. It seems your stuck in the basement all the time" she said softly, her voice growing a bit sad. Ever since the adults became their prisoners, Yuki has been busy down there, giving them what they've been dishing out to all of them that he rarely comes out from there. To break her gloomy thoughts, Radhika realized she had gotten something for Yuki.
"Oh, I went into the town the other day, and found something you'd like" she said, taking his hand, leading him to the couch to sit down. "I'll be right back" she said, scurrying into the kitchen to put some water over the fire to boil. She reached into the cupboard, and pulled out a box of green tea she recently bought in White Chapel. Once the water was boiling, she gently took it from the fire, pouring it into the cup with the tea leaves. She put the cup on the tray and set it in front of Yuki. "I remember when you told me about this tea from your homeland, and I figured that it'd be nice for you to have some" she said sheepishly, sitting down across from him.

His body froze, then relaxed when she hugged him. Yuki rested his hand on her back while she held him, then let them slip to his side when she let go. "Cut myself shaving." He felt her hand on the scab, and barely kept from flinching. The boy didn't want to scare his friend, so he remained still. "Then picked at the scab..." The corner of his lips tilted up a little. Picking at one's scabs was very much a child thing to do, and the fact that he'd done such a thing to himself was in a sense...a relief. Yuki decided that for now he was still more of a child than an adult.
Some of the tension eased out of his chest.
He nodded at her comment about the basement, though he did not agree with the word "stuck". The boy noted the change in his friend's voice and rested a hand on her shoulder out of impulse, "I have purpose there..." His mood improved considerably as he thought of the tortures he inflicted upon the imprisoned adults.
Curiosity written all over his face, Yuki allowed his friend to lead him to the couch. The boy waited, dark eyes watching her go before wandering over the room he was seated in.
The scent of the tea reached his nose before his eyes could take in the colour of the tea. Yuki blinked and his stomach filled with a sweet sense of nostalgia. The cup was too hot for him to pick up just yet, but he leaned forward and inhaled the smell of the green tea. Eyes then rose to lock on Radhika.
"Thank you."

She was relieved to hear that no one had harmed her friend, and that he just nicked himself on accident. "I know you do, but as they say, all work and no play makes Yuki a dull boy" she said, an impish smile forming on her face, sitting next to her friend. "I understand your rage better than anyone, but wouldn't be nice if maybe once in a while you could take some time for yourself, and do something not involved with your duties?" she asked.
She had always been worried about him even before the revolt. He had deep scars given by all the adults of his past that wouldn't heal for a long time. 'Though I wish he had a better outlet' she thought to herself.
"Think nothing of it, that's what friends do. I figured something from your homeland would make you happy" she said softly. She remembered one time they were hiding from the adults, and in order to pass the time, they spoke of where they came from. When Yuki spoke of Japan, she closed her eyes as his words painted a picture in her head. It sounded like a lovely place, and Radhika hoped to one day see it. "I'd like to visit Japan one day, I still have those images in my head. Would you ever want to go back?"
