The beautiful mainland has been nearly destroyed by the volcanic activity of its own Mt. Kunja. The powdery ash, mud and lava flows have forced inhabitants of the land to flee and find homes elsewhere on large neighboring islands out of the reach of the destruction. Many animals were killed during the explosion, others were too wounded or otherwise unable to make it off. Some even drown crossing the waters and were attacked by unseen sea creatures. The ones that successfully made it across to the new land were the fittest, healthiest, and the most intelligent, proving they were strong enough to adapt to the sudden natural disaster having escaped quickly enough from its devouring wrath.

The few species that survived will have to repopulate on the new islands, which are abundant with nourishment. They however, will have to compete with the established native species for these resources. Will they be able to adapt further to this new and foreign environment? Or will they ultimately become extinct?
