Dr. Gene Menelaus~HUMAN~ADULT~SCHOOL PHYSICIAN~TWENTY-SIX~BISEXUAL~ Those who hover near.Friends/Kindly feelingsGene does not make friends easily. He is shyly polite to most and tends to freeze up or flee if anyone presses him for company. Not that he'd refuse if they insisted. It's just difficult to get him to open up. As for the conflicts going on among the children at the Orphanage, he has no loyalty to any side. He is an aristocrat by birth, but never could quite get into the habit of looking down his nose at others. He's kind to everyone...when he's not terrified of them instead. SpecificThe Children: Gene feels kindly and beholden to the children at St. Anne's. He will always curse his weakness and powerlessness during the reign of the cruel adults. He carries around a deep seated guilt and a genuine desire to help the remaining children. He can't ease the scars on their souls, but he can at least keep them healthy. Even if, at times, he's frightened of the more twisted ones. Those who repel.Enemies/DisapprovalThe good doctor has no enemies. He quietly dislikes cruelty (to anyone but himself,) but would rarely confront someone and is likely to back down quickly even if he does. Specific:Imprisoned teachers: Gene vastly disapproves of all of them. Their cruelty to innocents was beyond his ability to understand. However, he also dislikes their imprisonment. A quick death would be kinder. At times he wants to ask to treat their injuries. Shadow Man: He is grateful to and terrified of the Shadow Man. He dislikes all of the creature's methods and...appetites, but would never say so to his face. Love in broken light.IntimacyGene isn't one to seek out physical relationships. He'll tend to draw away from any offers. He's very rarely slept with anyone and it would be even more difficult to draw him into a romantic interest. It isn't impossible, but it would be quite a task. Between his attraction/disgust for pain, crippling fear, and shyness, it's quite a lot to get through.

Sebastian was perpetually sick in life. I'd bet that he and the Doctor saw a lot of eachother (regretably). They seem evenly dispositioned. I'd be interested over how aware of the ghost Gene might be. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some guilt over being unable to cure him before it was too late.

Gene is actually quite superstitious and believes in ghosts. He spends a lot of time at the graveyard in the forest. I'm not sure if Sebastian can appear to the doctor, but it would be interesting if he did.
Also yes I'm sure Gene spent a lot of time trying to care for Sebastian. He was probably horrified at his death and feels guilty about it as well.

yuki I am not too sure as to what is going on here, but it's definitely interesting XD and fun! we should continue to play them and see what happens. =D
zavien he doesn't fear or hate adults the way most of the other orphans do. He's managed to realize that there are good adults --like his parents, and a hand-full of other people he's met on the streets-- and there are bad adults. He might look up to Dr. Gene even..possibly. Though I don't know how he would react once he sees some of the doctor's weaknesses. We'll just have to see.
effery She would avoid him at all costs, no matter how innocent and harmless he may seem. He is an adult man, and she is terrified of all adult men, no exceptions!

ROSALINE + DR. GENE MENELAUS =I think that Rosaline wouldn't really dislike Dr.Gene despite the fact that he's an adult. She'd probably see his fear as being amusing however. Being as manipulative as she is to people that she can easily see their weaknesses, she'd probably enjoy toying with Dr. Gene whether because of his withdrawal from physical relationships or his skittishness in general. Rosaline was never really taught about positive relationships with males, so she has a belief that the only way gain "good" attention from them is to flirt with them and act loose. Because of this, she may even resort to flirting with the doctor, since she doesn't understand that it is inappropriate at some times. She'd still view it as just playing around since she doesn't really have a romantic interest for him, but she wouldn't understand how people could view it in negative light. I'm guessing this would leave Dr.Gene feeling very awkward. Sorry I sort of rambled. I dunno, let me know what you think.
