Ignoring that she should send a guy or that he should go, Lily had gotten ready just before sun down to go into town. She was dressed in a dark navy dress trimmed in white lace which was covered by a white apron with a ribbon matching her dress tied in her hair. She wanted to make herself look as enticing and innocent as possible, something she had down to a science.
Once she came to the park, she walked the cobblestone way, looking for potential victims. She looked down at her glove covered hands, a blush rising to her cheeks as she thought about what happened in the garden before Edward stormed off. The feeling of his lips against her skin sent a jolt through her that she never felt before, and it was driving her crazy.
'Why did he do that? I thought he hated me for what I stood for' she thought to herself. She wanted to believe that just maybe he felt the same way she did, and like her, pride and position got in the way. She quickly pulled away when she noticed a dapper young man walked down the way. 'Perfect, now to turn on the water works' she thought, as she began to sob softly, her lips quivering making her look as pathetic as possible to get his attention.
The man stopped when he noticed the young girl crying. "Little one, what's wrong?" he asked, placing a hand on Lily's shoulder.
"I was out with my friends and the director of my orphanage, and I've lost my way, can you show me the way back?" she asked, batting her big blue eyes which have been known to make adults just become putty in her hands.
"Sure thing, though what do I get for helping such a sweet little girl" he said, running his fingers down her cheek which made her nauseous. These types of adults sickened her the most, the ones who took advantage of children to satiate their lust. "What would you want, sir" she asked, her voice trembling a bit as she saw a smirk form on his face which was coming close to hers.
Just as his lips were inches from hers, she withdrew a knife she kept hidden in her apron. She placed it where the brain stem was, and stabbed him, causing him to fall down instantly. 'Damn, now what will I do' she thought, reaching for the man's arms as she drug him to some bushes to hide him.
