[Lily Montgomery]

St. Anne's was an orphanage that was inherited by the sibling pair, Johan and Hilde Faust. Though they put on the front of kindness, what they really were doing along with the other adults they employed was keep the kids in hellish conditions and abused them constantly. The children had grown used to such treatment and saw no reason to fight it. However, one day, two of the older children, Lily and Edward were cleaning the basement when they heard a voice.

The voice whispered that he could help them get revenge against the adults and give them their freedom in exchange for a sacrifice every new moon. Both of them agreed, and soon, the rose up and killed most of the adults, leaving a few alive who committed the worst of the abuse to be tortured until they would be sacrificed to The Shadow Man. However, Edward and Lily disagreed on how things should be run with lily wanting order and Edward wanting anarchy. So the orphans split into two groups with the only things keeping the peace are their hatred of adults and The Shadow Man.

A few points that are very important.

-There isn't anyone in charge of the orphanage. The former heads are kept prisoners while the two leaders of their respective groups, Lily and Edward, run their own groups.

-Any adults save for the doctor (see the canon list) are prisoners. The reason why they weren't killed immediately in the uprising was they were the cruelest of the cruel, and the children have decided to prolong their suffering to pay back what they've done to them.

-The children will sometimes go to the city to find adults to sacrifice.

-Any other adults on this site not in the orphanage are considered civilians unless they end up getting captured or go to the orphanage on their own will.

-Through the eyes of the children, all adults are the enemy until proven otherwise (due to their abuse and the influence of The Shadow Man).

-Lily's views on how the orphanage should be is orderly with everyone working together towards a common good with no one doing less than anyone else which are the ideals she founded her group, the aristocrats on.

-Edward's views are that every child should do as they wish, not following the orders of anyone be they child or adult. It's these views that his group, The Derelicts are founded on.
