Louise (Loui) Zhestokii * Seventeen * Female * Pansexual * Corrupted
The tundra really is no place for a child to grow up. Or so the mother of Louise Zhestokii surmised when she was born. Having an illegitimate little girl was no picnic, either. By eight, her mother really couldn’t take it anymore. So off the child was shipped, to England to be with relatives in the country side.
They weren’t expecting a little girl who looked quite like Louise. They were expecting a nice, fair girl of Russian stock. Not the dark-haired, angular strangeness. They didn’t like the looks of it one bit. So off the child was shipped, this time to an orphanage.
Welcome to St. Anne’s.
This is the part of the story where other children begin to suffer. Louise… not so much. Rather than allow herself to be victimized, or even fighting back, she adopted the styles of those around her. Her role models taught her that violence was the right way to react to everything.
She grew up quick and she grew up mean. She hated all things ‘girly’ after perceiving that boys were in less of a danger, for the most part. So she tried to be more masculine, stealing clothes from boys around her size, and eagerly throwing herself into a careless, violent attitude. Call her Louise and you will really miss those teeth you used to have. It’s Loui, and don’t you dare forget it. Don’t mispronounce her last name either- she hates that.
In an effort to emulate the people around her, she adopted a very bastardized cockney accent. She’s excellent at it- if you’re definition of cockney is merely unintelligible garbled slang. Which, to be fair, it often is.
And though she hated the adults, she channeled this into forcing their anger and attentions away from her and unto others. She would eagerly feed information to their erstwhile caretakers in exchange for better treatment. And when people made her angry she reacted as the adults did: with her fists.
She was always a dangerous person around the orphanage, and when the adults were in power she was just as fearsome and terrible as they. And now…
Now she has been ejected from her position of power, and thrust onto some very dangerous ground. The adults are no longer in charge, and the children she readily betrayed are in charge in her stead. Loui has responded to this by flinging herself whole-heartedly into the torture and sacrifice of the adults. She will still torment other children and picks fights on an almost daily basis, but she’s more careful about it now. Now it’s mostly just younger children who won’t be able to fight back, and meek people she can scare into silence.
As for lovers, pray you never are one. Loui likes pretty things. She knows inside how ugly she really is, and as such is drawn to what she considers beautiful. Pretty boys, pretty girls… it doesn’t matter. And if she decides to stake her claim, then as far as she’s concerned you are hers. Don’t even look at anyone else unless you have a serious suicidal streak. (This rule, of course, does not apply to her, and she will readily fool around with whomever she pleases, no matter who is waiting for her on the other side of the estate.) And the only thing worse than being her lover is being anyone who likes her lover. At least with people she likes she’ll leave their face intact. If she ever catches someone of ‘hers’ with someone else, there will be a lot of blood on the scene. And none of it will be Loui’s.
Underneath all of this is a scared, abused, cowardly little girl. But that outer shell is thicker than the masonry of the orphanage, and you’d have to chip away at it bit by bit for a very long time to bring anything else forward.
She is a dangerous, terrifying, dark girl. Pray you never cross her or make her think you did. She is not above killing anyone. And you don’t be the first to go.
