The year is 1941, the world is at war and in the deserts of North Africa a campaign fought between the Axis and Allied forces has been ongoing for almost twelve months. Supplies and reinforcements were in short supply and sent with unpredictable infrequence. Truly, out here it is a war fought on a shoestring.
Then of course there is the rumours circulating of men being swallowed up by the desert itself.
On the 4th of June 1941, some of these lost men returned to their bases. Delirious with heat and exhaustion, though they were allied with different factions they all claimed the same story. A lost world, a curse; an area of the desert that was a proverbial 'Bermuda Triangle' where people simply disappeared out of knowledge.
